Richard Simis
Richard brings four decades of successful leadership to his companies, Simac, PBS Construction and now Simis Construction and the last 13 years including the complete development and construction through his company Next Space Development with over $1 billion in construction completed by his companies including building and renovating over 1,000 multi-family units.
Richard was the Founder and President of Simac Construction, a national general contractor and development firm. He began his career in single-family “custom homes” and multi-family residential construction. However, his success in retail construction for national retails led him to expand Simac Construction across the country working from their 5 office locations where they built coast to coast construction in over 100 drug stores for CVS, Walgreens, Eckerds, Sav-on, Longs, Right-Aid and others. In their height, they built almost 500 Hollywood stores and millions of dollars in contracts for Blockbuster Video. Other retailers included Bed Bath and Beyond, Albertson’s, hundreds of restaurants including Panera Bread, TGI Fridays, Pat and Oscars, Starbucks and so many more.
His design analysis, construction oversight, contract negotiation and project management equal on on-time and on-budget completions.
Steve Simis
Steve graduated with a business degree from Arizona State University and began his construction management career in San Diego with Harper Construction Co. where he helped manage multiple military housing, infrastructure, and renovation projects ranging in value from 10 million to excess of 100 million dollars. He also spent time in Los Angeles managing a wide range of community college expansion projects from an athletic field and locker room at Southwest City College to brand new culinary building at Los Angeles Trade-Technical College.
In 2016 Steve joined the Simis Construction team, focusing on multi-family residential construction which includes a variety of developments from luxury condos to workforce apartments units and student housing. His 15+ years of experience in project management have given him the necessary tools to effectively manage projects from the early design phase through construction completion. Steve takes great pride in managing his relationships with his designers, subcontractors, owners, and investors to ensure his projects are completed to the highest standards.
